The best reason I can think of to have your own poker game
table is that when it's your table, you get to make rules.
Kidding aside, the primary objective of a poker table is to
make some fun or serious gaming possible at any time without a
lot of fuss.
One of the factors is you might certainly want to consider is
blending your poker table into the decor of your recreation
room or your home. There's a certain element of elegance and
class to having your own poker table. Aside from
providing aesthetic appeal, it can keep a significant other
happy.
For a permanent, stand alone poker table, you might not
consider a sturdy solid wood pedestal table. The pedestal table
has the advantage of providing plenty of leg room underneath. a
solid wood poker game table has the advantage of being
available in many finishes and colors that can easily blend in
to any decor. It need not stick out like a sore thumb. Be sure

any larger than 5 ft. diagonally on a round table or is
difficult to reach the center of the table to scoop in your
wedding pots. Larger Texas holdem tables which are
generally oval, can the seat 8 to 10 people. For my money, and
I am cheap with it, a padded armrest is a necessary splurge I
can't stand sore elbows and arms from leaning on a hard edge
table.

You can also have a poker table custom-made to your exacting
specifications. If you happen to be on the other end of the
cost spectrum there are free plans available online. You can
construct your own poker table if you're handy with tools. The
only specialty item you would need to curb purchase is the
poker playing felt surface itself. A little elbow grease and
voila, you have a cheap, custom-made poker game
table.
